Thursday night tastemakers and music connoisseurs alike gathered at Patchwerk Studios in Atlanta to get the first taste of its intimacy serious. Soul singer/ writer Vivian Green presented her new album “Vivid” revealing some of her new tracks at a private listening party.
The Philly native who is known for her number one hit “Emotional Rollercoaster” introduced her album as a more fun and light hearted take on love and pain. Feet taped and heads bobbed as Vivian and legendary rapper and producer Kwame introduced songs “Broken,” “Work,” and the 1960s inspired “123” to guests and attendees. Green’s album only feature is with Raheem Davaugn on the track titled “All I want.”
The night finished with a live performance of her new hit single “Get Right Back to My Baby” on a candle light stage followed by a Q and A where she got candid about her start in the music industry, her serious Motown inspiration, why she took a hiatus from the music industry and the upcoming projects she has in the works. This album has that old school R&B feel but yet still young and fresh. Vivid hits stores and Itunes August 7. If you love real music make sure you get this album!
